In honor of Terminix Service Inc.’s 65th anniversary, the company has set a goal of 65 blood donors during the drive. Donors will also have the chance to purchase lunch from the “2 Fat 2 Fly” food truck, which will be on site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Their stuffed wings include flavors like jambalaya, bacon cheddar jalapeño, dressing and gravy, and chicken parmesan.
“While we’re having a lot of fun with the connection between mosquito season and giving blood, the real reason we’re hosting this blood drive is a serious one,” said Trevor Knox, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “One pint of blood can save three lives. Terminix is a family-owned and family-focused company, and our employees truly believe in the value of giving back.”
To lessen wait times, donors should schedule an appointment in advance by visiting www.redcrossblood.org, clicking “Find a Blood Drive Near You,” and when prompted for a “Sponsor Code,” enter the code “Terminix.” From there, donors can select an appointment time.
Donors must be in good health, at least 17 years old and weighing at least 110 pounds. Blood donations are accepted from those who are 16 years old if they have the consent of a parent or guardian. For more information, visit redcrossblood.org.
