Scottsdale, AZ~ The first ever Brave Wings Fashion Show will benefit Sojourner Center, one of the nation’s oldest and largest domestic violence shelters, on Saturday, June 22 at The Venue Scottsdale. Featured designers include Woman’s Touch Apparel, Mabella Chic, Dawn Sunflower, Orlando Dugi, and Trifilio. Jackie Morales of 101.5 will host the event and Stacy Santelli of Future Stars Global Foundation will be the key note speaker.
“Sojourner Center is grateful to Brave Wings Fashion Show for not only raising money to support our vital services for victims of domestic violence, but for also raising awareness of this important issue that affects us all,” said Elise Peterson, Communications Coordinator at Sojourner Center. The proceeds of Brave Wings Fashion Show will support Sojourner Center in providing comprehensive services to over 3,000 women and children each year. In addition to secure and safe shelter, Sojourner Center provides on-site child care, lay legal advocacy, free basic health care, and classes that empower women and children to live their lives free from violence.

The Brave Wings Fashion Show organization was developed by Mabel Cortez, designer of Mabella Chic, whose mission is to provide women confidence through fashion and Jenesis Laforcarde, designer of Woman’s Touch Apparel, a T-shirt line which centers on Women’s Empowerment. Their goal is to support a charity every year with an annual fashion show. This year, the proceeds of Brave Wings Fashion Show will directly benefit the continued efforts and growth of Sojourner Center in providing support and services to victims of domestic violence.
