Oh Baby Fitness will lead all pregnancy and mom & baby fitness classes at various Northside-affiliated outpatient and medical centers, including the Northside/Alpharetta Medical Campus. Northside patients can also exercise closer to home by signing up for an Oh Baby! Fitness class offered at 30 other metro Atlanta locations. Every Oh Baby! Fitness class is lead by a certified prenatal/postnatal instructor who safely guides women to stay fit, bond with their babies and build a strong community of women to support one another during an important life milestone.

A second new class category called "Mom & Baby Exercise Classes" includes mom & baby fitness, Pilates, yoga, water aerobics and stroller fitness to new moms and their babies.

A note about exercising while pregnant: The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (http://www.acog.org) recommends 30 minutes of aerobic activity on most days of the week while pregnant. Exercise during pregnancy can help control weight gain, shorten labor, reduce the chance of a c-section birth and help relieve the common complaints of pregnancy (including back pain, leg cramps, swelling, constipation and insomnia).
