After nearly 30 years of steady growth, Fresh Produce has rapidly begun to expand throughout the US. The opening of the Atlanta, GA store on August 8, 2012 and the Pasadena, CA store on August 24, 2012 will increase the company owned retail locations to 27. Fresh Produce is also currently sold at more than 400 independent retailers.
“There will be a lot more Fresh Produce locations popping up over the next few years,” said Mary Ellen Vernon, founder and CEO of Fresh Produce. “Our company is ready to expand quickly; we have carefully selected a list of targets for our new retail locations and are actively working everyday to open more stores and to grow the Fresh Produce retail footprint.”
The Atlanta boutique will be the first retail store to be opened in an indoor shopping center, debuting at the Mall of Georgia. Located in one of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, the 2523 square foot shop is the perfect setting for the dynamic line.
“This expansion to a non-coastal market is indicative of an exciting time of growth for our nearly 30-year-old company,” said Mary Ellen Vernon. “Our Atlanta customers, who have looked forward to visiting the Fresh Produce store on St. Simon Island for years, will now be able to shop Fresh Produce in their own backyard, allowing them to enjoy the clothes they love year round – not just on vacation.”
With the addition of the Pasadena, CA store, Fresh Produce will have ten retail locations in California. The 2425 square foot Pasadena store is located at 32 E. Colorado Blvd. and is part of the historical Old Pasadena shopping district.
Both the Scottsdale and Tucson boutiques are relocating to accommodate the growing demand of consumers in the region. The new Tucson store will have nearly 700 more square feet for expanded merchandising of the growing line. The Scottsdale boutique will reopen in the Scottsdale Quarter at the end of October.
All stores will carry the entire Fresh Produce women and children’s line as well as Fresh Produce’s exclusive jewelry line, which launched this past March. The women and children’s line retails entirely under $100. Over 80% of Fresh Produce products are sourced, assembled, and made in the USA.
